Management of Quality of Service capabilities at the edge of the network is an important element of service assurance, network bandwidth management, SLA provisioning, etc. This presentation will review how the QoS features of Open vSwitch, including both standard kernel datapath and the DPDK userspace datapath, have been enabled in the OVSDB plugin during the Beryllium and Boron releases. Secondly, the work during Boron to enable support for the OpenStack Neutron QoS API extension via the networking-odl ML2 driver, Neutron Northbound, and Netvirt projects will be described.
