As of today, it is not possible to integrate SFC with VPNs. There are several things missing and it would be great to brainstorm a plan about how to address these problems in order to have Netvirt’s VPN Service integrated with SFC ready in Carbon release. Probably the most important gap is modeling the entry point and the exit point of a chain, so that for example packets can be sent to the VPN service once they exit the chain. Today the entry and exit points are provided by the classifier, so it must be also considered as part of the integration with Netvirt’s VPN.
